Gunther explains why Vince McMahon’s vision for pro wrestling didn’t appeal to him.
RAW superstar Gunther recently gave an interview. Mail Online’s Alex McCarthy. Asked about how the company has been run under Triple H rather than Vince McMahon, Gunther admitted that one of the reasons he didn’t want to relocate to the United States was because of McMahon’s vision for WWE. .
“I think one of the reasons I didn’t want to go to America for a long time was because Raw and SmackDown, which Vince had in mind at the time, never appealed to me as a wrestler. “It wasn’t something that happened,” Günter admitted. “I’m an old-school guy and I like to take my time for the match. I want to focus on what I do in the ring, not the extra stuff in the ring.

“And the experience at that time… [at Survivor Series 2019] That almost confirmed it. I’m a throwback. I like to set aside my time for matches and I like to focus on what I do in the ring and not the extra stuff in the ring. And my experience back then almost confirmed that.
“I’ve been really lucky. I’ve always had a good relationship with Triple H and a lot of things fell into place at the right time for me and dictated how everything operates now. It’s much more modern. I think we’re smarter in terms of putting certain people in place and highlighting their strengths. So it’s a very exciting time and it’s like a breath of fresh air for the fans. I think you can.”
