WORTHINGTON — With candidates already vying for your vote on a national level, now is the time for local individuals to get involved in the process and consider campaigning for open seats on the City Council, School Board, and County Commission. It’s coming again.
Nobles County residents can apply to run for office at the county, state and federal level starting Tuesday until June 4. Meanwhile, those wishing to apply for positions at the city and school district levels will be able to do so starting in July. From the 30th to August 13th.
Nobles County Auditor-Treasurer Joyce Jacobs said there are several positions in the county up for election this year, but some positions have different filing dates than others.
“Candidates interested in serving as Nobles County Commissioners for Districts 1, 2, and 4 or as Supervisors for Soil and Water Conservation Districts 1, 2, and 3 may apply to the Nobles County You must file an affidavit of candidacy with the Auditor’s Office.
