MMR Holding Corporation, the third largest mechanical and electrical contracting company in the United States, yesterday appointed Robert G. Benning as its chief executive officer. He replaces James B. Rutland, who was convicted of bid rigging last year and is appealing the case.Rutland and the company’s chief financial officer, Samuel Weems, have resigned, the company said.
