The Supreme Court also dismissed another petition seeking directions to the Election Commission of India (ECI) to deal with hate speeches made during the election period, particularly by members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Meanwhile, after filing his nomination, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with the Bharatiya Janata Party’s NDA partners outside the Collector’s Office in Varanasi on Tuesday, flaunting the strength of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Prime Minister Modi filed his nomination papers from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. The prime minister is aiming to win a third consecutive term from the same constituency and is aiming for victory by a record margin.
The Prime Minister was seen walking along with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda, UP CM Yogi Adityanath and other NDA leaders.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri asserted that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India’s economy will become the third largest in the next two to three years.
“We are the world’s largest democracy. We are also the mother of democracy. Our third term begins on June 4. In the next two to three years, our economy will be the third largest,” he said. I guess so,” he said.
LJP-Ram Vilas chief Chirag Paswan said the entire NDA participated in the nomination process of PM Modi, adding that the strength of the NDA is its unity.
“Our strength is unity. Today, the entire NDA participated in the nomination process of Prime Minister Modi. This unity will help us achieve our goal of winning over 400 seats,” he said.
Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan said it was “fortunate” to be an NDA partner.
“I am lucky to be an NDA partner. I personally admire and respect Modiji. Andhra Pradesh is a complete sweep state for the NDA,” Kalyan said.
Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde termed PM Modi’s appointment as “historic” and said he will become the chief minister for the third time.
“Today is a historic day. Prime Minister Modi has filed his nomination today. People are excited to vote for Prime Minister Modi. All the records of 2014 and 2019 have been broken this time and the Prime Minister I will be the chief minister for the third time… We will succeed in our mission in Maharashtra (of winning 45 seats),” Shinde said.
Rashtriya Lok Morcha President Upendra Kushwaha said the NDA will win over 400 seats and the party will win all 40 seats in Bihar.
NCP leader Praful Patel said the people’s vote symbolized the victory of PM Modi and the NDA.
“No matter what Rahul Gandhi or opposition leaders say, the fact that people are willing to vote is a symbol of victory for PM Modi and the NDA,” Patel said.
Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi said he was “lucky” to be in Varanasi on the auspicious occasion of Prime Minister Modi’s appointment.
“I am fortunate to be here on this auspicious occasion of the nomination of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This time, we have achieved the target of over 400 people and will be the Prime Minister of India for the third time,” Manjhi said.
Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party president Pashupati Kumar Paras said the chief minister will win with huge votes from Varanasi.
“Today is a very auspicious day. The prime minister will win by a huge number of votes and will be taking the oath of office for the third time,” he said.
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale said the NDA will win over 400 seats and said the NDA has great confidence in the people.
Prime Minister Modi, a sitting MP and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate, has submitted his nomination papers at the district magistrate’s office. Varanasi will go to polls on June 1 for the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha polls. Votes will be counted on June 4th.
Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) Chairman and Assam Minister Atul Bora said he felt honored and fortunate to witness Prime Minister Modi’s nomination filing.
Bora said, “I was here last time. This time the atmosphere is completely different and there are more people supporting me. I feel honored and lucky to be here today.” Told.
A total of 25 NDA leaders were present for the Prime Minister’s nomination.
The Varanasi seat comprises five assembly segments: Lohaniya, Varanasi North, Varanasi South, Varanasi Cantt and Sevapuri. Varanasi is the home of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Modi. This will be the most anticipated campaign in the upcoming Sabah state election.
Prime Minister Modi won the constituency with an overwhelming majority in both 2014 and 2019 polls.
This time he will face Congress candidate Ajay Rai, who is the opposition India Bloc’s co-candidate for prime minister. Rai, the UP Congress president, was also fielded against the chief minister in Varanasi in the 2014 and 2019 assembly polls, but finished third in both cases.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Modi won the seat with over 674,664 votes and a vote share of 63.6 per cent.
