When I say yes to a film that nobody wanted me to be in and I end up doing it and it’s successful… it makes me proud. Or even when there’s a film that nobody thought I could be in, it fills me with pride.”
Looking back on her career, Tapsee said, “I think for a lot of films, I wasn’t the first choice. For example, with ‘Haseen Dilruba’, I don’t think people really expected me to be in that role. When I got roped in for ‘Dhanki’, I don’t think anyone expected me to be in a film like that either, because I was never close to that circle or a part of it. So, things like this make me feel proud and think, ‘OK, I must have done something right to get here’.”
